Christmas volunteering fun at Westfield

From Rev. Ann Key

Over the past few years if you have done any shopping in Market Square round about Christmas time, you may have seen the nativity dress up, story -telling, or Christmas craft making.  Then again, you might not have, because it has been a bit hidden away.

However this year, after much negotiating on the part of the Reverend Elizabeth Breakey, Vicar of the Bellarine Gateway Anglican Parish, this ecumenical outreach will be right next door to Gloria Jeans. You won’t be able to miss it!

And so you, and your Congregation don’t feel left out of this wonderful ministry, this is to invite you to participate!

We need your help to make this work, and would appreciate your prayerful consideration, before saying you are too busy…

From the 11th –  22nd December there will be colouring in for adults and children(giant stained glass windows which will later go on display in the shopping centre), the opportunity for people/ families  to dress up in costumes and have a photo taken in the nativity(on-going), and story -telling (12.00 -12.30).

We only need 3-4 people each day, and will give instructions, information etc so that it is a great experience for all volunteers, each one of whom must hold a current Working With Children Check.

If you would like to volunteer and have a current WWCC, please contact

Reverend Elizabeth Breakey : vicar[at]bellarinegateway.org.au  and let her know what you can help out. Only 7 days left to fill! Hurry, or you might miss out!  15, 17, 18, 22 and 23 December slots already gone!
