May House Church

Date:             Sunday 16 May 2021

Time:             7.00pm

Venue:           The program for the May meeting will be the Empathink Webinar and Discussion as per the attached Flyer.
As this is a Zoom presentation, we will not be gathering together as one group.
However, you may wish to pair up with other House Church members to make a small group in someone’s home.

Speaker:        Dr Josh White, a consultant psychiatrist in Melbourne and Director of the Gertrude Street Clinic Parent-Infant-Child Services in Fitzroy.

Topic:            THE SURVIVAL OF EARLY LOSS: Jackie Young’s journey from the Theresienstadt Concentration Camp to the Bulldogs Bank group home and beyond.
Dr Josh White has a particular interest on the impact of children being cared for in orphanages as a result of their parents dying in the Second World War.
This impact extends to the next generation, that is, the children of these orphans.
One such orphan is Jackie Young (a London taxi driver), who has a most amazing story of being adopted and raised in London by his adoptive parents.
He subsequently discovered his childhood experience and story. Jackie and his wife Lita will be sharing in the Zoom video seminar and discussion from London.
